Some time back I had posted about languages such as C, C++, Java which are still very popular. For students, if they were to optimize on time and effectiveness it seems like a easy pick to build solid development skills. Sure there are many others such as php, ruby, python etc, but then having strong fundamentals not only helps the learning curve of other languages but is desirable as well and looks like there are all the inputs available. Ganesh of Joyofprogramming.com fame has just released another cracker of a book called Cracking C, C++ & Java interview. Take a look at the cover page and the table of contents. Promises to be a great toolkit to have for students and junior developers.
Ganesh is based out of Bangalore, India. Earlier when I was interacting with him, he shared that he wrote his first book as a student called Deep C; not a common thing amongst students in that part of world and should be a fantastic inspiration. His other book 60 tips on object oriented programming is considered a must for object oriented program developers.
